For Marion Ksirer, living through the holocaust meant having the life she could never have. While in hiding, Marion was adopted by a loving family in a small town in the Netherlands, who cared for her as if she was their own daughter. My work portrays the metamorphosis of Marion's identity as she adapts into her new lifestyle and forgets her Jewish past. When the war finally ends, Marion's world turns upside-down when she is thrown back into her forgotten pre-Holocaust life.
This is my first animation project. In collaboration with Yad Vashem and H.I.T.
